Nest Restaurant Old Street

My husband and I loved every minute of our dining experience at Nest! The service was fantastic - the team were really friendly and the sommelier told us a lot about the wines in the wine pairing which were all great! The food was delicious, every course from the 'sea and coastline' set menu was full of flavour and made up of high quality seasonal produce. Highly recommend a visit and we will definitely be going again!

Just the perfect romantic restaurant to celebrate our engagement! The coastal-themed tasting menu was amazing, paired with some beautiful and unusual wines. Could not recommend more and I'm already excited to return.

What a wonderful restaurant! We went during the chicken month - this is how a chicken can taste! Paired wines elevated the already gorgeous food. Service is informative and extremely friendly - you can interact as much as you like. Our server was very knowledgeable about the paired wines - and we ended up with a few more wines to try than we'd got on our gift voucher. We will definitely be going back - the food, wine and service is better than some Michelin starred restaurants we have been to recently! Absolutely worth the money.

Great for A special night out. Did the short set menu and chose our own wine. There is a strong smoky smell as soon as you walk into the restaurant, the open kitchen is the first thing you see. Service was impeccable, and we appreciated the recommendations.

Was fortunate enough to get a last minute dinner reservation at the counter, which was a great experience! The restaurant is a short walk from Old Street station. Nest offers seasonal menus and my visit was during Beef Season. Unfurling the wax-sealed menu revealed two set menu options, the short menu or longer signature menu, which I went with. A wine pairing is available however I chose my own drinks. Over the next two hours I was treated to eleven courses of incredible cooking. Despite being Beef Season the menu was interspersed with some seafood and vegetable items as well, although they had found creative ways to incorporate beef in many of the courses. I enjoyed all the dishes but some of my favourites were the tempura oyster with bone marrow mayonnaise, the sirloin carpaccio and Highland beef. Sitting at the kitchen counter added to the experience, you could tell the chefs were passionate from the way they worked together and the way they explained each dish and how they had made it. To drink I had a Nest Negroni and a glass of Slovakian red wine, both of which were excellent and served promptly. The drinks list is extensive and will suit most tastes. Nest is in an area with lots of competition and certainly holds its own. It was a great meal and I would love to return to try another season!

Had an absolutely gorgeous lunch. The smell as you walk in is smokey and cosy, the decor is a cross between a pub and a hunting lodge, you wouldn't guess where you were, and the staff were absolutely fantastic. Knowledgeable on the excellent, delicious food that we're definitely coming back for, and also the really reasonably priced wine pairing. Loved every minute!!

Excellent tasting experience. The food is nicely presented, tastes great and there are no awkward moments between dishes, service is smooth. We've enjoyed this season's seafood journey. Great selection of wines as well as pairing option for the tasting menu. The restaurant is cosy with an old style refined style. Definitely I must if you are a foodie.

Great food! Great taste! Great services! Great selection of wines! Pleasantly surprised to find Nest while in London. It certainly lives up to its reputation of freshness and locally sourced menu. Set menu was offered and it didn’t disappoint. The food is fresh and tasty. The wine pairing choices certainly compliment the dishes. Services were friendly and nice. The restaurant design and decor were rustic yet relaxed. 5 . Will visit again.
